Built on the Olympic Green, Beijing National Stadium, or the Bird's Nest Stadium, as it has become known, is the biggest stadium in Beijing and an important Olympic venue, which staged the 2008 Summer Olympics.

The outer shell is the world's largest steel structure, forming part of the most complex Olympic stadium ever constructed. Some would even go as far as to say it is one of the key engineering marvels in the world today.

The 2022 Winter Olympics are around the corner. The Beijing National Stadium witnessed the start of the 2022 Winter Olympics, as it was the opening and closing ceremonies venue, and became the only stadium in the world to host both summer and winter Olympic Games ceremonies.

The Beijing National Aquatics, also known as Water Cube, was built as the main natatorium (swimming pool venue) for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and became known as one of the Games' iconic structures. Now it was turned into Ice Cube for the curling venue in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

It is located on Olympic Green, with the Beijing National Stadium (Bird's Nest), on Beijing's north-south axis.
