Start the tour from Qianmen Street, located at the central axis of Beijing City, Qianmen Street is a famous pedestrian street for shopping and sightseeing, running from the Archery Tower of Qianmen in the north to the turning of Tiantan Park in the south. It is 840 meters (about 919 yards) in length and 21 meters (about 23 yards) in width. It is composed with buildings whose styles resemble the late Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911).

Qianmen Street has history of more than 570 years. It was called Zhengyangmen Street during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and finally got the present name in 1965. During the Qing Dynasty, there were many specialized outlets on either side of it, such as a meat market, cloth market and jewelry market. And there were also many craftsman workshops, warehouses and theatres in the Hutongs nearby. Now Qianmen Street becomes an important night life place for locals.

Move to Dashila Street Pronounced as 'da shi la r' by the local people, Dashilar Street should be the most ancient, famous and distinctive commercial street in hutongs of Beijing. Located outside the Qianmen, it takes dozens of steps to walk from southwest of Tiananmen Square to its east end. The prosperous classes of the ancient Beijing nurtured its business. Now, Dashilar Street is famous for all kinds of stores with an antique flavor. Many people come here to experience the relics of historic wealth. Every day there are 150,000-160,000 visitors. On weekends and public holidays, this increases to more than 200,000.

National Theatre of China (NTC), affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, is a performing art organization with rich creative resources and a brilliant history. The theatre possesses a galaxy of senior artists, such as Ouyang Yuqian, Liao Chengzhi, Wu Xue, Shu Qiang, Jin Shan, and Sun Weishi who provided a solid foundation to the theatre’s development.

The NTC has three modern theatres, including a grand theatre, a small performance venue, and the Vanguard Theatre, suitable for diversified performances. In addition, the nationwide theatre league gathered around Beijing is progressively established, offering a dynamic support to the intensive performances under the latest management model.

Last stop will be Tian'anmen Square head to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square of this kind in the world. Located in the heart of Beijing City, it is the site for massive parades and rallies, the largest square of this kind in the world.

This was the site when in 1949, from a rostrum on Tiananmen (the Gate of Heavenly Peace), Chairman Mao proclaimed the establishment of the People's Republic of China.

For security reason, Tiananmen Square is a fenced square circled by low iron grids with main four entrances – east, west, south and north. The square is now open to the public till midnight, but all the tourists have to pass a security check before they enter the square. So check points have been set up at all the entrances leading to the square.

The 40-minute visit allows you to have a glimpse at the outside of Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the magnificent Great Hall of the People,  the National Museum of China, the ancient Zhengyang Gate and Arrow Tower as well as the Tiananmen Tower which leads to the well-known Forbidden City.
